Dr McNally
Dr McNally is an experienced medical doctor, psychiatrist and cognitive behavioural therapist , fully registered at the General Medical Council with licence to practice.
After qualifying at the University of Buenos Aires, school of medicine in 2003, Dr McNally started practicing medicine in the NHS as an emergency medicine doctor. She later trained as a psychiatrist in the East midlands, East London Foundation NHS trust and North East London Foundation NHS Trust. She has got experienced in working with both child and adolescent and adult mental health in the NHS and the private sector.
She uses cognitive behavioural therapy, compassion focused therapy and acceptance commitment therapy approaches to work with adolescents and adults with depression and anxiety, including OCD, phobias and panic attacks.
In addition to direct work with adolescent and adults as a Psychiatrist and CBT therapist, Dr McNally is an associate at the General Medical Council. She works as an examiner in the Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board test (PLAB 2) for overseas doctors applying for professional registration in the UK.
Dr McNally holds a PG Diploma in cognitive behaviour therapy from the University of Buckinghamshire. She has attended courses in compassionate focused therapy, acceptance commitment therapy and motivational interviewing.
She is an affiliate at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Member of British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies and the Medical Protection Society.
Dr McNally is approved under Section 12 (2) of Mental Health Act (1983) and works as psychiatrist in the Early Psychosis intervention Service at Barnet, Enfield and Haringey NHS trust
